U.S.A’s Newest Jet Fighter, the F-15EX
F-15EX the Eagle II
On Wednesday, April 7th, the U.S Revealed their newest Jet Fighter, the Eagle II. Originally called the F-15EX, the U.S named it Eagle II to follow suit with the F-15C Eagle and the F-15E Strike Eagle. The U.S is working on replacing the old F-15 C and D fighter jets with these new ones. Even though the Air Force likes the Lightning II better, the Eagle II is easier to manufacture while modernizing the F-15s. It Sits 2 while being able to be flown by one pilot. Its increased payload capacity allows it to carry up to 30,000 pounds of supplies and weapons. Its first test flight was taken on February 2 and was flown for 90 minutes before landing.
