Why Drones Might Be Replacing Delivery Jobs
I’m sure you’ve heard of this already, but have you ever wondered why companies would start using drones? The answer is simple, and it’s because of efficiency.
As you already know, most delivery services hire people to come to your house and drop packages off. However, recently some companies started to think about using computerized drones to replace couriers for small packages. It would be very cost-efficient, use less fuel and trucks, and help you get your merchandise faster.
So, why aren’t we already using them? Turns out, as convenient as it sounds, drones come with their own set of problems. For example, what happens if a drone were to malfunction or suddenly break? Your paid goods would be lost, as well as the company’s drone. Another issue with drones is reliability. If a drone were to get thrown off course by the wind, the same thing could happen.
Despite these issues, amazon has already thought up a system for drone delivery.
