The Top Apps of 2020 and 2021
If you’re looking for a new app, or just wondering what everyone else is using, then this article is for you. These are the top 10 most popular apps.
10. HotSchedules. Coming in at #10, HotSchedules is an app that makes it easier to manage small businesses.
9. Twitter. The 9th most popular app is Twitter. Twitter is a social media app where people can make posts and retweet other’s posts. People can gather followers by appealing to a community, and then become major influencers.
8. Audible. Audible is an app that uses your amazon account to buy or rent audiobooks online.
7. Hulu. Hulu is a streaming service owned by Walt Disney Productions.
6. Snapchat. Coming in at #6, Snapchat is a messaging system with an integrated camera.
5. Tik Tok. If you have been on the internet at all last year, you most likely have heard of Tik Tok. Tik Tok is a Chinese short video sharing app that took the world by storm, similar to Twitter’s old “Vine” app.
4. YouTube. YouTube is a video sharing platform where any person with a computer and a camera can create content and make money off of it if enough people watch it.
3. Disney+. Coming in at #3, Disney+ is another streaming platform owned by Disney, but mainly focuses on animated movies and unlike Hulu, Disney owns all of the shows and movies on Disney+
2. Netflix. In 2nd place, we have Netflix. Created in 1997, Netflix one of the oldest and most popular streaming services in the entire world. There are hundreds, if not thousands of shows and movies on Netflix. Every month, some shows get moved to other streaming services, while Netflix adds even more.
1. Zoom. Unsurprisingly, zoom is the most popular app of 2020. After COVID-19 drove the world into lockdown, most everyone was only able to meet online over a video conference platform. Many schools and companies use zoom to conference instead of going into the office.
All in All, most of these are good apps. Just because these are the most popular doesn’t mean that you should download them. You should research them and see if they could be malware before putting them on a phone with all of your data.
