Cars have blinds spots just like humans. The Infiniti QX60 has tons of blind spot scanners that can detect obstacles as long as they register. But, as tested by Ezra Dyer, cars cannot see all obstacles, even some that the driver cannot see. He turned the corner to the right to leave the Aberdeen Habitat for Humanity, and ran into a cinder block wall and popped one of his tire. The wall was low enough that he couldn’t see it, and dented the car and had to get a tire change. These challenges are all faced by self-driving cars today. This relates to engineering because car manufacturers have to fix this problem with cars.
