This is seriously the best and most outrageous thing from the makers of fancy Toyotas since they blew our minds with the LFA Supercar in 2010. There aren’t any loud V10 engines here, and it feels more like a fast road trip car than a race car, but the LC is still super impressive. It comes from the 2012 LF-LC concept and is built on a light and strong ‘GAL’ rear-drive platform supporting the LS limo. You can get the LC in two different versions—like identical twins, but they do things differently: getting you down the road and making you look fabulous. One version, the LC500h, is a complicated hybrid that mixes V6 petrol and electric power for crazy performance and good gas mileage. The other one, the LC500, is a fun piece of old-school muscle with a naturally aspirated V8 that’s all about making those rear tires squeal.
