There are tons of delicious baked goods, but they have many specific processes. They can range from being quite easy, to being quite difficult. There are endless amounts of pastries to cover, so I will only be going over a select few.
Croissant: A croissant is a layered pastry that is rolled up to be a sort of odd, yet iconic shape. You start the process by getting your dough, or making it yourself. Then, you want to fold the dough and add butter in-between layers, but don’t use too much, and keep folding. Once you’ve folded the dough enough times, you then would roll it thinly, and cut it into long triangles. To make the croissants signature shape, you would start rolling from the bottom of the triangle, making sure that it rolls up nicely. once you get the desired shape, you bake it in the oven, and then your croissant should be made.
Eclair: An eclair is a personal favorite of mine, because of its rich cream, and its delicious chocolate icing on top. To make an eclair, you would need a specific dough for eclairs to get the nice texture you know, or you could just make the dough yourself. Pipe the dough into long shapes, and make the size however large you want. After you bake the pastry, you would take your specific cream, cut a couple holes into the pastry for the cream, and pipe that stuff in. Once you are done with that, you would take your pastry and dip it into the icing. Voila! The delicious eclair is made.
Danish: A danish is an important part of danish cuisine, and it is quite delicious as well. Characterized by its flaky crust, and delicious filling, the danish is a delectable delight enjoyed by many. Here’s how to make them. You start of by getting your dough, and just like the croissant to get it crispy, you want to fold the dough with butter, but not as much as the croissant. The next step is deciding your filling. You can choose between many fruit fillings, like raspberry or cherry, but cream cheese is my favorite so we will be going with that. You then bake until nice and crispy, and then add optional toppings, such as a cream cheese drizzle, and then serve.
These are only a few of the many baked goods, but they are some of my favorites, and I hope they can be useful to you. There are some recipes in “TAKE ACTION” section, that go into further detail.
