In today’s world, one of the oldest things that are still being used today are bicycles. Bicycles have been around for quite some time dating way back to 1418. It might have been old but it has gone through some developments and changes over the years. Even though it might sound like it is not that big of a deal nor important. It is still used as a very crucial transportation vehicle as it allows a cheap and effective way to get around the area.
The first bicycle made or technically made was made by Giovanni in 1418. It wasn’t technically a bicycle because it had 4 wheels. But after that a new design and invention of the bicycle came. This time it didn’t have 4 wheels but the shape of the wheels was very weird. The bicycle was made in 1866 by James Starley which invented the “Penny Farthing.” It had one small wheel in the back and one big wheel in the front. This was one of the iconic bicycles because of its weird feature of wheels. But after that came a new and very distinct bicycle. It was made in 1898 by Gordan J. Scott came with a battery which powered the back wheel. Basically a version of the electrical bicycle. Finally, we have one of the closest things to modern day bicycles which is the first electrical bike. Created by Michael Kutter in 1989. Overtime it got more attachments to it and became your typical bike.
Modern things like this can be very iconic symbols in today’s world. It can also be used for something serious. An example of this would be like transportation or fitness. And overtime, it can develop so that it can adapt to people’s needs.
