Yonder pouches were added to a select 15 middle and high schools in FCPS schools. The middle schools that added the yonder pouches were Frost Middle School, Irving Middle School, Jackson Middle School, Poe Middle School, Robinson Middle School, Thoreau Middle School, and Twain Middle School. The high schools that added the yonder pouches into their school were Edison High School, Falls Church High School, Justice High School, Lewis High School, Madison High School, McLean High School, Robinson High School, and Westfield High School.
The FCPS schools spent more than 5 million dollars in yonder pouches to help make a school that is better from distractions and a phone-free school. The yonder pouch has a magnet and a pouch, so you put your phone in the pouch and connect the two magnets so you can’t open it for the rest of the school day. After the last bell rings, they have magnets that you can use to open your pouch and use your phone. The yonder pouches are also very fragile and are easy to break, and if you do, you will have to pay 18 dollars for a new yonder pouch.
