A computer works by combining input, storage, processing, and output. All the main parts of a computer system are involved in one of these four processes. Input: Your keyboard and mouse, for example, are just input units—ways of getting information into your computer that it can process. It is an electronic device that manipulates information, or data. It has the ability to store, retrieve, and process data. You may already know that you can use a computer to type documents, send email, play games, and browse the Web.
History
The history of computers goes back over 200 years. At first theorized by mathematicians and entrepreneurs, during the 19th century mechanical calculating machines were designed and built to solve the increasingly complex number-crunching challenges. The advancement of technology enabled ever more-complex computers by the early 20th century, and computers became larger and more powerful. One of the earliest and most well-known devices was an abacus. Then in 1822, the father of computers, Charles Babbage began developing what would be the first mechanical computer. And then in 1833 he actually designed an Analytical Engine which was a general-purpose computer.
How does the Computer work?
The most basic way of thinking of a computer is as an Input/Output machine. That’s a pretty basic idea: computers take information from external sources (your keyboard, mouse, sensors or the internet), store it, process it, and return the result (Output) of that process. By the way, if you think about it, the moment computers are connected through the internet there’s an ever ending loop of inputs and outputs as the output of a computer (say a website) becomes the input of another and so forth.

In conclusion, computers have significantly changed the way society works and performs certain tasks. Several examples of this can be seen in education, business, and hospitals. Simple, daily everyday jobs would be impossible to complete without the aid of computers. Without computers, we would not be where we are today. This advancement has changed our lives forever. We use this device to communicate on whatever database or app with each other. Overall, with the internet and computers, long-distance communication has also become much more accessible for people worldwide.
