Before gunpowder
Back in the 9th century In China they used a material called “saltpeter” which was accidentally discovered by a Chinese alchemist while he was trying to make a potion of immortality back then. Soon the people used this great material for things that help themselves like using saltpeter for medication and was used for warfare. But for some time had gone after the discovery of saltpeter the alchemists will soon discover what it can truly do.
Enter: gunpowder
When they mix the saltpeter with other materials like sulfur and charcoal and then crush them together. It made something that will change the course of history itself and make the Chinese themselves become more powerful than ever this new found power was gunpowder. They realized that the material had strange properties like being able to combust from fire and knock things out of the air with powerful force. when they discovered this they used it for the people like using it for firework for the new year, but they used it for their weapons like the cannon for use in the war.
What was gunpowder
Gunpowder was a material that was made of saltpeter, sulfur, and charcoal, and most of the gunpowder is saltpeter. The correct formula of gunpowder we use today is a ratio between 10:15:75 and is a physical powder that would combust in very hot elements like fire and other objects.
Changing the world
After the discovery of gunpowder in the 13th century the material was sold by traders around the world and was being used for war. Like the middle east which made firearms for their troopers back then. back to the present we can see what of a impact gunpowder had made like new high tech weapons that are being used for battle like tanks, guns, bombs, etc. And we can see how much of a destructive material it is and being caused of hundreds of not thousands or perhaps millions of people that had lost their lives from the creations that gunpowder had lead too. Which would be the cause humanity to improve in technology which made use even more powerful.
