The US Marine Corps have successfully created a missile system, to significantly advance the capabilities of the US military. The AH-1Z Viper helicopter launches missiles able to strike targets at distances previously impossible. With this new technology, The United States gain a major advantage, and may be a land threat to other military systems. This rectangular shaped device allows communication and navigation for enhancing warfare situational awareness. This “project seeks to evaluate cost-effective, long-range disparate effects in expeditionary and maritime environments” Since this project can be discovered by other foreign countries, many further details have been disclosed at this time. The very long delay in announcing when the test will happen only tells people more about the project’s secrecy. This Precision Attack Strike Missile (PASM) was created to greatly extend the distance this missile can strike at targets on land and at sea. The AH-1Z missile consists of a cross-shaped arrangement and wings under the body of the missile.
With the invention of this new missile, our military would have an advantage while in a war with other countries. Our technology is getting more and more advanced every single day, and this missile is a prime example of that. The AH-1Z improves long-range target capabilities helping the United States fight in conflicts such as Afghanistan, Iraq and other areas in the world. Similarly to other missiles, the AH-1Z could be a new prototype kinetic projectile for “cost effective, long-range disparate effects in expeditionary and maritime environments.” The lightweight system that improves navigational awareness to help with accuracy anywhere. A small video of the missile and its functions can be seen released in 2019. Due to the secrecy of this project, further details have not been revealed, and we do not know how this missile has advanced, or how the missile is being used today.
