On January 29.2025, a Black Hawk with three soldiers and a plane with 64 passengers crashed over the Potomac River in Washington D.C. Stories have said that the Black Hawk was on a training mission during the crash, and the plane was supposed to land in the Washington Airport known as the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport. The Black Hawk crew supposedly received “Inaccurate altitude data,” since the Black Hawk crew was on a training mission, they were also using night vision goggles. The NTSB plans to “conduct a visibility test to determine what the three crew members could and couldn’t see.” According to defencenews.com, about 2 minutes before the crash, a radio transmission from the ATC could be heard telling the Black Hawk that about 1,200 ft was a plane circling to its “designated runaway.”
However, the Black Hawk may have not received the transmission. about 20 seconds later, another transmission is given from the tower asking the Black Hawk crew if the plane was in sight. Later the ATC asked the Black Hawk to “pass behind the jet.” Supposedly the Black Hawk may had not received the transmission. Before the crash the Black Hawk was at 300 ft altitude when the max was 200 ft. This led to the Black Hawk and the Plane crashing over the Potomac River, leaving no survivor’s.
