There are many huge aircrafts. This includes the Antonov An-22, the Caspian Sea Monster, the Convair B-36, the Hughes H-4 Hercules, the Tupolev ANT-20, the Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, and much, much more. Today we will be talking about the Boeing 747 Dreamlifter, a truly bizarre aircraft made for a truly bizarre purpose.
.
The Boeing 747 Dreamlifter (AKA the 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter) is a modified wide-bodied cargo Boeing 747. The Boeing Dreamlifter has the capacity of more than 65,000 cubic feet and can hold full smaller airplanes. This monstrosity was made for the Dreamliner program, and was designed to carry aircraft parts. It was also used a bunch of times to help transport medical supplies during the Covid-19 pandemic. The Dreamlifter was introduced in 2007, and since then there has been only 4 total Dreamlifters built, each costing nearly a BILLION per aircraft.
