Walking Innovative Mobility (WIM) is a device powered by AI to analyze your strides and the way you walk. The WIM is built to be the size of a small handbag when closed and easy to transport. It is three pounds (1.4 kilograms) and is made to help people exercise effectively without wasting much energy. This device is especially good for older people who still want to walk around and see new places. The device is worn around your hips and has two Velcro straps that wrap around your lower thighs.
This device was developed by Younbaek Lee and Yongjae Kim, WIRobotic’s CEO’s. You may know some of these people for their earlier work as Samsung development engineers. As well as being a helpful device for walking, there is an exercise mode that mimics the motion of walking in water, giving you an extra workout. WIM is portable and fast to put on, ensuring a safe journey for all.
This invention would be good for athletes due to the conditioning nature of the AI robot in the pouch. The AI is able to adjust the settings on the entire robot to make sure that you get the exercise that you need. This can help improve how fast athletes sprint, or how far they can run.
Overall, the WIM robot is a helpful device that is able to help you with exercise and improve the way you move.
