The EQS is one of the most important new cars for Mercedes-Benz. It’s the first fully realized EV from the brand, and a vehicle dedicated entirely to providing a luxurious driving experience with zero emissions. The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV is a battery electric full-size luxury crossover SUV produced by the German automobile manufacturer Mercedes-Benz Group. As the SUV counterpart of the EQS liftback, it is positioned as the battery electric version of the GLS. It is the third model built on the dedicated Electric Vehicle Architecture, following the EQS sedan. The model also offers optional third-row seating. The EQS was presented and announced at the 2019 International Motor Show Germany as the Mercedes-Benz Vision EQS and foreshadows the future Mercedes-Benz series luxury electric sedan cars announced for 2021. As a battery-electric vehicle, it is part of the Mercedes-Benz EQ family. Available with one motor and rear-wheel drive or two motors and all-wheel drive, the EQS can be optimized for an extended driving range or outfitted with up to 649 horsepower for maximum acceleration. Even the least-expensive EQS Sedan offers impressive power and good acceleration, and the power escalates as you go up to the more expensive trims.
Models:
There are three distinct models in the EQS lineup. Within those four models are three trims: Premium, Exclusive, and Pinnacle. The higher you go in the trim range, the more luxurious and expensive each gets.
1. Mercedes EQS 450+:

The Mercedes-EQ EQS 450+ is the most affordable and longest-range model in the EQS family, which is about 350 miles on a full charge. Its single-motor electric powertrain produces 329 horsepower and 417 lb-ft of torque. The EQS 450+ is the only rear wheel drive model in the EQS lineup. (Note, this is the same across all models). Just some of the things the Premium trim includes are ventilated front seats, panorama roof, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The Exclusive trim offers everything in the premium trim and more! The Pinnacle trim offers everything in the Exclusive trim and provides: Front-cabin MBUX Interior Assistant and optional adaptive rear cabin lighting.
EQS 450 4MATIC SUV:

The EQS 450 4MATIC is a new addition to the EQS model’s for 2023. It’s the new entry-level all-wheel-drive (AWD) model at a much more cheaper price than the EQS 580. In addition to the AWD system, the EQS 4Matic has a performance upgrade over the EQS 450+, it has a dual-motor electric powertrain making 355 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It’s also the most efficient model in the EQS lineup, with an EPA combined fuel economy rating of 103 MPGe.
EQS 580 4MATIC SUV:

The EQS 580 4Matic improves the performance, technology, and aesthetics of the EQS. Its dual-motor powertrain makes 516 horsepower and 631 lb-ft of torque, giving it impressive performance. All wheel drive comes standard. the EQS ensures optimal traction and stability in various driving conditions. Inside, the opulent cabin offers a harmonious blend of premium materials and cutting-edge technology, including a large touchscreen infotainment system and advanced driver-assistance features for enhanced safety and convenience.
