Elon Musk is planning to build his own town just outside of Austin Texas. According to The Wall Street Journal Musk plans to call the town “Snailbrook”. The town will house his employees from his companies SpaceX and The Boring Company.
35 miles outside of Austin Texas Elon Musk and his associates have bought around 3,500 acres of land for the town to lie on.  Elon has described the city as “sort of Texas utopia along the Colorado River”. The town will include a pool, an outdoor sports area, and a gym for all the residents to use. The town is planned to have around 110 houses for his employees to live in. Elon Musk believes that building this town and having all of his employees in the same place and living in a “utopia” it will help employees connect with each other more and bond so they can have a healthy work and home environment. He believes that this will help the companies to excel and give the employees a better overall work experience. Elon plans to have the town finished in the next 10 years. Employees of the boring company have been offered these homes for an monthly rent of $800 when the median in the area is $2,200.
