For a long time now, many people have been arguing that video games make people “more violent” and desensitized to doing violent things. There have been countless studies made on this and about just as many court cases all trying to argue that video games make people violent. Now, there aren’t very many reliable statistics to prove that video games are the causation of more violent or less emotional behavior in people. Then looking at it from a completely different angle, there’s simple correlation or the relationship from one thing to another. Perhaps its not games making people violent, or perhaps its just that maybe people who are a little more violent will gravitate more to violent video games than others. While there is so much attacking the negatives on video games, there should also be a lot to be said about the good that video games do. Many gamers old and young have had a moment while playing a game where they had to pause and think really deeply about something the game did, or a way that its changed our views on something. While there is plenty to be said about games that messed things up, there’s even more to be said about the great things that video games have done for humanity.
