Why Tom Brady Left the Patriots
Tom Brady is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Bill Belichick was one of the greatest football coach right now in professional football. Currently, the New England Patriots are tied with the Steelers for the most superbowl wins in the NFL. So why did Tom Brady leave the team after 20 years of playing for them? Tom Brady, being 42 years old, failed to get his contract renewed by the Patriots. Bill Belichick thought it would be better for the Patriots to hire Jimmy Garoppolo. Also, if the team had Tom Brady’s contract renewed, it would cost well over 13 million dollars to put him on the team. Tom Brady still wanted to play football at this age even if the Patriots couldn’t have him anymore. So, he joined the Tampa Bay Buccaneers along with his old friend Rob Gronkowski who retired a few years back who is ready to play again. Brady says that he also left to get a new challenge. He wants a fresh start played on a different team instead of the same one that he has been on for 20 years. Its the beginning of football, and Tom Brady has a long way ahead of him if he wants to win the superbowl.
