The tyrannosaurus rex’s (t-rex) was one of the largest carnivores in the world. It is 12m in length and weights up to 7000kg. The tyrannosaurus rex lived in the Late Cretaceous Period which was 66-68 million years ago. These large and dangerous species of dinosaur would eat whatever they saw and intimidate other dinosaurs. The dinosaur had 60 bone-crushing and pointy teeth to kill the dinosaurs prey. Also their teeth were around 20cm (8 inches) long. The t-rex’s did not go in packs. Instead, they would fight each other over food and mating.  A lot the fossils of t-rex’s that had been dug up over the years show scars from other t-rex’s. Furthermore, this species of dinosaur had an excellent sense of smell because of the t-rex’s 5ft long head.
