In 1963 corvette released 15 of the z06  to a small amount of pre-approved race car drivers.  Two months later Corvette released the z06 to the public, a total of 21,513 of the 1963 z06 corvettes were produced. The 1963  z06 also known as the corvette c2 was a race ready automobile. This car reached 60 mph in 5.9 seconds and had 360 hp. Though impressive that is, the feature I want to point out on this car is actually the rear window. The 1963 model of this car had a spilt back window the first corvette out there to have such a feature.  The Corvette z06  is also named a stingray a popular series of corvette. The z06 is one of the rarest American cars to ever be on the road.  In 1963 this car cost $4,252.  Today they cost up to $1,100,000.
