Life on Mars

Many of you probably heard about astronomers finding signs of life on Mars also known as “The red planet”. They say there was water flowing in its past for more than a billion years. Now while some people say Mars never had life on it, some are saying it did but it all died very early. We still have lots to discover.

NASA had 4 goals for Mars 1.see if there was ever any life, 2.understand its climate, 3.understand its structure and 4. lastly see how they can send humans to Mars by sending robots up. July 4th, 1997 was the first successful Mars landing. Now Mars has no active plate tectonics nor a standing magnetic field.

This relates to engineering because engineers had to design and make robot so astronauts would have a lower risk of getting hurt.
