NASA may have just discovered a novel, extremely effective way to power life on Mars: Nuclear Fission. A few years ago, NASA had unveiled a new project called the Kilopower project, a project where NASA is testing the possibilities of four nuclear generators that combined, can produce up to 10 Kilowatts of energy. So far, the generators have aced a bunch of ground tests and might even be able to be able to be launched up to Mars by 2022.

Engineers were the main force in bringing this idea to life.
