Tokyo Tower

Tokyo Tower is an observation on communication tower. It is located in the Shibakoen district of Minato City, Tokyo, Japan. It was built in 1957, and is used as a support structure for an antenna. The tower broadcasts signals for Japanese media outlets. It’s 332.9 meters high and is painted in international orange and white. The designer, Tachū Naitō, drew inspiration for the structure from the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. You can see the similarities through the lattice style they share.

This is related to engineering because an engineer had to design the structure, so it could withstand earthquakes and typhoons. They went through the engineering and design process, and built it.
