Today we picked out the font for the sign: Mistral. We picked it because it is one of the better-looking scripts and the letters all stayed connected. We chose an Endmill .25″ bit, which is a 90 degree v-groove bit. We also added more specifications to the program, so that it could calculate and produce a 3-D render. We also slimmed down the sign to be .25 of an inch thick, because we don’t have .5″ wood. We are also using wood as a test material before switching to plastic. We will also need to put a layer of wood underneath because the machine might cut through the wood, so we need a layer that will prevent the drill from cutting into the machine itself.
