SpaceIL, a private company, is in a great spot to land a spacecraft first on another world. Google’s Lunar XPrize promises $20 million to the winner of this contest, and after SpaceIL became the evident winner, an extra 1 million dollars are to be awarded to the Israeli company, called the “Moonshot Award.” The lander Beresheet should go to the moon on the 11th of April.
