The Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world standing at about 2,716.6 feet (828 meters)! This building also holds the longest traveling elevator in the world, which leads to the top of the building. Finally, this building holds the the highest standing deck. Lost of people come to Dubai to visit this amazing building every year.

Here is where I got the info:

Some cool things to do at the Burj Khalifa are, obviously, ride the longest elevator in the world and stand on the highest deck in the world. Lots of people take selfies or take a picture looking directly down at the floor like this picture!

This relates to engineering because engineers had to find a way to prevent the building from collapsing so they came up with a method to prevent that. They made the material thicker and able to resist earthquakes.
