We are continuing the FPV drone made by teams from last year, where students from both semesters created a First Person View drone. It is already half-functioning, so building the drone itself shouldn’t be difficult. However, some of the wires have come apart and the soldering is sloppy, so we are going to rewatch the video/guide used to make the drone. We have a good understanding on soldering wires already, and need to practice using the desoldering pump/wick to take solder off. We also need to figure out the issue with the motors & ESCs as flying is difficult and unbalanced. The previous group also suggested putting the current parts on a new frame. After evaluating the progress already made, we’ll have a better understanding of what to do.
