Wireless cameras work by transmitting the camera’s video through a radio (RF) transmitter. The video is sent to a receiver that is connected to a built-in storage device or through cloud storage. Through your monitor or receiver, you’ll have an easy link to access all of your image or video clips.
With these wireless camera’s you can use them for 3 different detection uses. Those uses can be, motion detection, scheduled recording, and remote viewing. These can be very useful in the case of an intruder coming so you can find the threat and deal with it.
This relates to engineering because camera’s used to have big bulky wires that had to run through each camera. These wires could usually be seen and intruders could cut the wires and there would be no way to stop them. So engineers had to find a new way to hide these camera’s and wires. So a company called Vivint put in a Bluetooth recording software into the camera and connected it to another Bluetooth receiver and voila! a wireless security camera. So that is how wireless security camera’s work and why it relates to engineering.
