This is our first post about making the lipstick there will be a part two.  Today we started making our lipstick. We mixed all our ingredients and poured them into a palette,

We mixed four tablespoons of beeswax, two tablespoons of Shea butter, two tablespoons of coconut oil, and beet root powder. In the original recipe it only called for two tablespoons of beeswax but we added one more tablespoon we also added more beet root powder then the recipe called for we started with two teaspoons but then we dumped a lot more in. We microwaved the coconut oil, beeswax, and  Shea butter in a bowl after we mixed these ingredients we added the beetroot powder and mixed that up.

The beeswax was the hardest thing to melt but after microwaving it in 30 second increments we finally got it to melt and mix. We had to stir fast in order to keep it from drying.

This relates to engineering be cause we are in the finale stage of the engineering process creating our item. Then we can revise it and see if there is anything we can do to make it better or improve it.
