The Great Pyramid of Giza is a symbol of Egypt and is known throughout the world. It is located on the Giza Plateau and was built over 4,000 years ago. It was produced in a 20 year period from 2589-2566 BCE. It held the tallest building in the world title for over 3,000 years.
This relates to engineering because it is civil engineering where many people worked very hard to construct a massive building. It is a wonder how they were able to create such a thing so long ago. However, they defied logic and constructed a pyramid more wondrous than any other build. This is mainly because of when it was built compared to now where we have almost unlimited technology and a massive amount of knowledge and access.
