The Hyper Loop can reach unpredictable speeds by eliminating the two primary drags on moment which is friction and gravity. The air less tube eliminate any friction from wind because it includes a cushion of air that levitates the Hyperloop car. This makes it easy to escape gravity and getting rid of ground friction.
This relates to engineering because, the engineers turned to something that already invented to something more efficient by following the steps of the engineering design process and researching, creating, prototyping to create a product.
