The Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. Standing at 828 meters or 2,722 feet it is significantly taller than other tall buildings around the world. For example, the Empire State Building is only 1,454 feet tall. The Burj Khalifa is located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is a multipurpose building used for residential, retail, and offices.
A large problem that the engineers and architects came upon was the wind vortexes and powerful wind forces that would surround the tower. They had to use engineering to problem solve and come up with a solution to the wind.
