This idea could be a cleaner, longer lasting, and more flexible option than lithium batteries or any other batteries. A gravity battery works by using potential energy. When you lift something heavy, like a big block or a lot of water, you’re adding energy to it. This energy stays there because of gravity until the object falls. When you want to use the energy, you let the object drop in a controlled way, and it moves a generator or turbine to turn the falling energy into electricity again.
