Mazda Motor Corporation was founded in Hiroshima, Japan in 1920, making three-wheeled motorcycles called “Autorickshaws.” These were the highlight of Mazda-sponsored events in the 1930s, causing the popularity of motorized cars to increase as well as bringing more attention to the name.
In 1960, Japan’s automobile industry was undergoing significant changes and growth. During this period, Mazda launched the R360 Coupe, a compact vehicle that transformed urban transportation.
