Recently a sinkhole was found on the Highway. Ohio Dave Yost is seeking 17 million dollars for sinkhole damage. Ohio lawyer General Dave Yost arranged a legal action for a $17 million trial Tuesday opposed to the north Ohio business that was 6 decades ago. It is said that the Gypsum organization has not looked more into Sinkholes recently. This legal action was then turned into 20 million dollars.
The legal action declared the United States Gypsum Coon San dusky Bay, was unable to support the underground mines which was the reason for life-death situations for sinkholes around State Route 2. Which led the Ohio Department of Transportation $16.8 million dollars to maintain the highway to fend off causing it to cave in. The mining company before the sinkhole wanted to look in transportation rather than mining.
In conclusion, a 20 million dollar task has been enforced to maintain the sinkhole. The whole project is funded by the state and Gypsum has failed to uphold their deal with the only thing good they did is monitor the sinkholes more. This was during 2013 and in the near future they have continued the project to secure and monitor sinkholes since then.
