Quantum Computing?
Quantum computing is a field that leverages the principles of quantum mechanics. These principles include complex behaviors such as quantum superposition and entanglement. These phenomena serve as the foundation for advanced technologies in quantum computing, which involve the coherent manipulation of quantum systems at the level of individual quantum bits (qubits). Classical physics struggles to explain why quantum computers can complete calculations exponentially faster than modern classical computers. Instead of evaluating only one path of a computation at a time, quantum computers can simultaneously process every possible path.

illow”
Google’s heritage of record-setting quantum chips, reaches back to Foxtail in 2017, Bristlecone in 2018, and Sycamore in 2019. Google’s recent announcement of the arrival of Willow is a milestone in the effort to bring quantum computing into the real world, and in the years ahead, it could change the way we think about the risks in cryptocurrencies. Willow reduces errors compared to its predecessors, resulting in more accurate calculations. The 105-qubit computer completed an RCS(Random circuit sampling) calculation in 5 minutes. A standard program that would take the world’s fastest supercomputer 10 septillion years (1025 ). The computer relies on the phenomenon of superposition, where the qubits exist in maybe more states than one. Suggesting that there could be multiple universes. However, like a powerful hose, Willows’s accuracy is still questionable.
The future of quantum computing
As advances in technology improve quantum computing technology from its instillation in 1998, the quantum computing field offers much potentials. Utilizing the fast speeds to cure diseases such as cancer, increase supply chains, financial modeling, and AI training. Googles Willow is step in the right direction.
