Wisk is the first company to create a self-driven, four-seated air taxi that is all electric. This provides us with another type of transportation that is not only more time efficient since there is less traffic in the sky but is also environmentally friendly. Since 2010 Wisk has been developing and remodeling an aircraft, to be finally finished in generation 6. The place to keep passengers luggage is called the “Frunk”, this is where they will keep their items. The “Frunk” is located in the front of the air taxi. In the rear there are 6 aerodynamic propellers, the propellers lock into position giving the aircraft its best performance. The rear propellers run on four blades. In the front, there are tilting propellers, which rotate from lift configuration to cruise configuration. This generates thrust and improves the safety of the aircraft since it increases redundancy and eliminates single points of failure. The front propellers consist of 5 blades, this part of the aircraft increases control over the vehicle, reduces noise, provides a comfortable passenger experience, and ensures efficient energy management. In all the seats of the aircraft, there is an individual passenger display, this provides passengers awareness if there is going to be a switch in altitude and how much time is left before arrival. The range of the craft is 90 miles or 144 kilometers, it can run 110-120 knots, and the craft charges per 15 minutes. The cruising altitude of the aircraft ranges from 2500 – 4000 feet above ground level. The aircraft is similar to a helicopter since it takes off vertically and lands vertically. There are also features such as WiFi and device charging in the aircraft. The aircraft handles most situations, but a human on the Ground Control station monitors multiple aircrafts at once giving humans the ensured safety.
