Light Therapy Alarm Clock

Do you find it difficult to wake up in the morning? A new kind of alarm clock is trying to help combat this. A light therapy alarm clock (sunrise alarm) uses light to help make waking up easier. The alarm clock uses lights that slowly increase in brightness to simulate the sunrise. This exposure to light makes it easier for your brain to wake up.

This is related to engineering because it took lots of research to create this clock. To develop this there was lots of background research and also trial and error. These among others are part of the engineering process.
