Recently, LG filed a patent to the World Intellectual Property Organization about a potential folding  tablet/phone device. The device is described by the patent as “a mobile phone with a flexible display which can be folded in half.” LG filed two designs. The first model features a camera component on the back panel and the second design is similar but has the rear cover pushed to one side revealing a transparent section.

This article relates to engineering since the developers at LG have designed a product to be more efficient than their last model. The fact that the device can fold makes it easier to transport and more space efficient.
