During the earliest days of human civilization, there was a City-State known as Babylon. They built an enormous building covered with the most exquisite vegetation. It became known as The Hanging Gardens of Babylon. It was built approximately 2,500 years ago, but was unfortunately destroyed by an earthquake around 220 BC. People have questioned the existence of the gardens, but a researcher from Oxford University has found evidence of the gardens. This evidence, however, was found about 300 miles away from Babylon, sparking the idea that a different civilization may have constructed this massive wonder. Despite this mystery of who built it, we know how impressive it was because all of the historical records that included it were amazed at how great the Hanging Gardens were, hosting several species of trees and dozens of species of flowers. We might not know where it was or how it was constructed, but we do know how much of a marvel it was to see.
