Scientists have developed a contact lens that’s able to sense the user’s blood sugar without the need for a needle. So far it’s only been tested on rabbits, which worked, however, it hasn’t been tested on human tears yet so we don’t know if it actually works.

The contact lens has a little-LED light along with a glucose sensor. Whenever the glucose level rises above a certain level, the LED will flash, alerting the user.
