The Tesla Roadster was announced on November 17th 2017. The Tesla Roadster is the quickest car in the world with a jaw dropping 1.9 second 0-60 time. Also a top speed of 250+ mph. As well as a 620 mile range, 285 miles longer than the previous model from Tesla the Model S. The 0-100 time is 4.2 seconds, and the 1/4 mile time is 8.8 seconds. Tesla manages for a record setting sports car to have seating for two. Something that has never been done before. Currently the base price is $200,000.  The Tesla features a glass convertible roof, a nice feature to put the icing on the cake. That is all the current information released, with more to come from Tesla. This relates to engineering because it is relatively new technology that is being improved upon to make it better and more reliable, In this case it is purely electric cars.
