The Standing Design Desk Challenge

The Standing Design Desk Challenge

deHave you ever wondered what it would be like to have standing desks at school? It would definitely feel more comfortable as well as help us students feel more active in school, right? The main obstacle in trying to create and design a standing desk, is how to make the desk stand at the height of the student’s waist without falling over to the ground. I have designed a layout or a blueprint to show what my thinking of how to make the desk stand without falling over. I planned to have a metal platform with metal steps attached to it, and then the desk would be placed on the metal platform to make it higher. Now, in order for the desk on the metal platform to be secured, I have decided to put metal bars that are bent at a specific angle, that will then be attached to the legs of the desk with a very sticky glue, causing the desk to be still and not fall over. The steps were added to the metal platform for the student to walk up the steps and stand on it, and in case they get exhausted or tired of standing, they can put a stool onto the metal platform, between the desk and the steps, in which there will be enough space for a student to stand and add a stool to sit down. Here is my layout or drawing of the standing desk I designed below:
